Solid service from the start

My Recommendation

After finishing grad school in August it was time for me to move from NY where I completed my final internship to TX where I accepted full time employment. A feat that I had to take out a personal loan in order to fund.

Renting a truck, probably the cheapest option, was out of the question since I wanted to visit family along the way. I found America's Moving Service would not only be cheaper than packing my own Relocube or Pod but I would also be able to hold them liable for any damage. I selected them after finding positive reviews on websites like this one.

I worked with Eric Snijders from the start who offered me a quote and explained the whole process for me. He even recommended that I buy my own mattress bags and TV Boxes to save the higher charges from the movers.

I paid America's Moving Services in advance. On moving day the movers (an independent local company) showed up at a reasonable hour. They were polite, quiet and quick. Before we new it they were packed up and on the road.
We drove to TX stopping to visit family for 14 days along the way.

Everything was delivered while we were still on the road (our landlord recieved the items on our behalf) and when we arrived in TX our belongings had already been loaded into our apartment. Any items that were broken were the fault of my own poor packing job.

America's Moving Services coordinated the work of the varying moving companies to make this happen. I corresponded with the same contact throughout the process. He was quick to return my emails and was always just a phone call away.

I'm very happy with their service. I highly recommend them and will use them again if the need ever arises.
