Simply a Rip Off - notebook computer repair and data recovery

Instructions here are; tell the company how they can help you. How about try honesty??? How about a phone line where you can actually get through to a human being?

I had Geek Squad come to my house when my notebook computer crashed. The woman on the phone told me "we can absolutely get your computer up and running at your house for $299." Well, he couldn't. Still cost me $129. Took it to the Geek Squad in Mission Viejo, Ca. There I also purchased a notebook computer. After a full day they told me they could not fix it ($169) and they would have to send it to Geek Squad City ($69 shipping). I was told that it might be 'as high as 400-500 to fix it. That was a lot to deal with, but based on the fact this is my business computer and I need the data, I said go ahead. Well, the next message I got (after many phone calls trying to speak to a human) the estimate was 1,600!! I said 'send it back'. I have made 6 or 7 calls since then (even to Best Buy Customer Relations) and I still do not have my computer back. Don't put yourself through the heart ache. This is a calculated method to get money from people. They have not actually done ANYTHING for me and I am out over 400$. And I don't have my computer!
