I admit it... as skeptical as I usually am, when I saw Shamwow at Costco I was weak and decided to give it a try. I'd like to say it sucks, but it really doesn't, at least not like it showed on TV. As far as I'm concerned, it does not work any better than a think towel, and not nearly as well as a real chamois. I tried it on my car after washing it and it left all kinds of streaks. When the sun hit the spots I had dried with the Shamwow the paint looked worse than when I started. So I read the directions (I know, should have done that first, but I'm a guy!). I took an unused Shamwow, ran it through the washing machine as per instructions, and it did no good whatsoever. Then I did a side by side comparison with a chamois from the auto parts store…the chamois was so much better that I don’t even want to store them near each other. I now use the Shamwow as wash rags for dirty jobs, and throw them out without hesitation when they get too gunky. Their name should be changed to “WOW…what a sham!”. And I will NEVER buy another product shilled by Vince “Awful”!
