I ordered a telescope for my grandson for xmas 2006. When it came it was smaller than I wanted so I returned it.
It was received at Sears return dept. on 12/11/06. I called about getting a refund to my credit card and was told it would be a couple weeks. (Funny how they can charge your card in one day but it takes a couple? billing cycles for a credit). In January, still no credit. Called them again, it was being processed. Yah, right!! End of January, 2007 - received e-mail saying they were processing it. Only they were processing a credit for the wrong item, wrong amount. 1/2 of what I should've gotten. 2/1/07 -Called and got a Supervisor who said 3-5 more business days and the corrections will be made. received another e-mail with corrected amounts - but NO $ CREDIT TO MY ACCOUNT. 3/9/07 - STILL NO CREDIT!! Called again, another supervisor, treats me as snotty as could be as if I were the fault and says she can process the credit in ANOTHER 3-5 days. I voiced my frustration and told her I've already been promised that several times! She cut me off with a "Do NOT take that tone with me. Do NOT interrupt me. I'm telling you what I will do, I won't make promises". When I asked her if she could understand my frustration, she simply said, " this conversation is over, I've told you what I could do for you." How long should I wait for promises, promises, promises before doing what???
I've never, NEVER, received such horrible service or customer satisfaction guarenteed CRAP in all the orders I've ever placed anywhere!!!!! I WILL NEVER SHOP AT SEARS AGAIN. THEIR PROMISES OF TAKING CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS IS TOTALLY FALSE. THEY DO NOT!!! THEY SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO DO BUSINESS!!
