If you ever consider ordering a part from Searspartsdirect.com, Don't do it!!
My garage door opener broke a cheap plastic gear gear inside the unit. I felt it would be cheaper and easier to replace the gear. I called Sears found the part I needed and ordered it. I was told the part was in stock in Texas which is where I live so it should only be a few days max for delivery of item. The item was 29.00 plus shipping for a total of 41.00. After a week no part and no one could tell me anything about when I might receive it. After several escalations with no results (they did try to sell me a wireless transmitter while i am complaining)I got smart did some research and found the part locally for 24.00. It has been installed and working for 2 days now with no word from sears. Here is why you should not buy from theme. After messing up the order and making false claims about it's availability and status, I called to cancel order but was told as part of their policy they cannot cancel an order. I have to receive it, call for an RMA and have it shipped back at my expense. The refund will take 2 billing cycles. Good luck getting your money back. Shame on Sears for taking advantage of people and causing more headaches in life.
