I am shocked by how callously Sears wasted my family's time when we recently bought a new Kenmore frontloading washer/dryer from them. It started when the 20+ year old Kenmore set that came with our house finally broke. I called Sears service, which sent a repairman who laid out the cost/benefits of replacing versus repairing(so far so good). When my husband placed the order for the new set on a Saturday, he was told they'd be delivered the next day (yay). But on Sunday, he received a call saying that the company could only deliver the dryer as the washer wasn't available til the following weekend. Since the set stacks with the washer on the bottom, it was recommended that the set come at one time, and an appointment was set for the following Sunday for both items to be delivered together(1 hour clocked). Then on Wednesday he received a call "confirming" that the dryer would be delivered but saying "there's no washer on this order"; my husband then spent literally 3 hours on the phone before getting someone at Sears to say "yes, the washer you have paid for will be delivered on Sunday" (now we're up to 4 hours clocked). On Sunday, the Sears delivery and installation crew came with the dryer, no washer, and the delivery person literally said "You are wasting our time." My husband then spent another 1.5 hours on the phone starting a new order that (fingers crossed) will finally arrive sometime between 12 and 2 on Monday, right in the middle of a work day. So we're up to 7.5 hours to get a new washer/dryer. How can Sears treat people so callously? My husband runs his own business; his time is precious. If he treated his clients that way, he'd be out of business! I will never ever buy from Sears ever again.
