I am so glad I found this site after reading the blogs and seeing that I was not the only one with almost identical problem. We purchased our item on Dec. 26th, 2007 and we purchased the 5 yr warrenty for $400. As like others, we were told anythig that happens will be replaced ASP or you get a new one. Well the color went out on Feb. 2009. we contacted HHGregg and they put us in touch with Norman Elect. who wouldnt send out anyone but said they will order the parts which will take 7-10 days. Well that went by and I called them, only to find out that the part that is needed to fix the tv is not made anymore. So we are told we have to wait 3 months "Just in case Sam. changes their mind and makes the part just for me". I was told after the 3 months. It will go in a review status and the warrenty company "GE" will try to locate a duplicate tv and then send me out a ck for the set they find... the ck wont cover warrenty nor will it cover the shipping that I will have to pay. Contact HHgregg's manager "Stan" who all sounds like he is going to save the day but yet to return calls. We have dropped a total of over $8000 with this company and I will tell everyone NEVER shop in this store. They just want your money and once they have that you are screwed! So I am down to the last 25 days of waiting 3 months just to see what "GE" will do in replacing our tv....
