SOFTWARE WOULDN'T INSTALL, COMPANY REFUSED TECH SUPPORT - Chiro8000

The software is Chiro8000, which purports to be a fabulous all-in-one Chiropractic office management software. I wouldn't know as it wouldn't install.

I paid for data conversion and was informed that 1) they couldn't do the data conversion I requested, and 2) they would NOT REFUND the money paid for the conversion. After months of trying to get some resolution (during which time the company REFUSED to accept Certified Mail from me), in desperation, we agreed to accepting a PDA module instead of the refund.

That, unfortunately, was not the end of my problems with this company. The software would not install correctly, and when I called Tech Support, I was placed on hold for up to 45 minutes. One time, after holding for about 20 minutes, I was hung up on.

So I returned the uninstalled software and requested a full refund, which they refused. I contested with the credit card company and the FORGED supposed phone records that showed I had never called!

Since the number I dialed was an 800 number, there was no record of my call on my phone bill.

So I am out $2000 for software that WILL NOT INSTALL. I have tried to resell, but apparently everyone else knows not to work with this company. (Beware, their website looks really slick and says all the right things to build customer confidence.)

I bought Chiro8000 one year ago when i started my clinic. About two months later the newer version came out. They sent me the new version at no charge. I do think that there are some things that they could add to the help section, however they have treated me well. and i find the software to be quite easy to use albeit i have had limited experience with other types of software. For price and quality i give Forte an A

I have had similar complaints witht his company. They are a TOTAL scam. Despite all the glitches, poor programming, and mispelled reports it churns out (when it is working), they sucker you into they "service plans" that they charge you a fortune for when it is really THEIR problem (poor engineering). They even wanted to charge me for tech support when I wanted them to correct the multiple mispellings that made the reports worthless as unprofessional.
