River Bend is not just a safe place to board your pet, it is also a rescue site for adopting greyhound dogs.

I was lucky enough to come come across this place and adopted my dog there. For those who do not live in the Massachusetts area, there are rescue sites in many of the US states. It is a nasty world out there, and greyhounds are unfortunately treated in a very unkind way. When they no longer are winning at the track they are put down/destroyed.
Greyhounds are smart, loving and extremely gentle dogs. Contrary to popular opinion, they do not need a lot of exercise.

I strongly recommend to anyone who desires a gentle, easy to care for dog, to explore the possibility of adopting a greyhound, whether at River Bend or at another rescue site.
