I am very disturbed by the things I see from sephora and its employees i am a professional person whom makes 7 figures and I am african american they follow you around the store ,they do not give me the same service as other clients ,they assume your stealing ,they talk about you on the radios they wear on their ears . they treat you in a very discriminatory way . I travel and it is not just one location it is company wide .Its sickening and I personally plan to take action and make sure that people know what their doing and find out just how many others they are doing it to .

I had the same bad experience last weekend at the store at the Mall Rockingham Park, Salem NH. I am a professional Hispanic who probably earns enough money to cover the monthly payroll for all the staff that works there and still have extra money for my leisure. I was testing some creams and one woman approached me asked me why I was testing the some Philosophy product I explained to her that I had a very sensitive skin and I personally did not need assistance picking my own skin care and I also told her that last time a saleswomen recomended me some Phyto creams that I bought and they gave me allergy. She then called another woman and when she came she told her about me opting up her assistance. Then both of them turned their backs and the first woman whispered to the other one "I do not think she is here to buy, just give her anything for her crappy skin and get her out of the store immediately" When I heard this I yelled at them and I said "Look I am wearing an Original Dior jacket, Christine Loubotine boots, and you think I cannot afford this $40.00 cream?" then both kept quiet, and I left but before I told them "You both just lost a sale" and show them my Sephora reward card and I said again "I would let you just write down this card number just for both of you can see how much money I had spent here" they only smiled at me like I was from another planet.
I left but I also called the customer service and reported the incident, and I wrote an email to the corporation. I havent heard back from them, but I am planning to take action, any of you with the same bad experience that felt that was mistreated based on your race contact me and we can make arrangements to file a lawsuit against this company.

I'm w/ sephorasucks1. I'm not African American but there was one time where I went in wearing a band tshirt and I have gauged ears and they kept their eyes on me the whole time. I'm like I have money, I don't need to steal, just b/c it's a band tshirt doesn't mean it wasn't expensive... arrrgh it pisses me off

Same thing happened to me at the Florida Mall. I wear a cap because I sweat excessively due to medicine that I take. I had several people follow me, but not one person asked me if I needed help. When I finally asked for help, the lady practically threw the product at me and moved on to someone I guess was more appealing. I am also white, 46, and a secondary school teacher with a lawyer for a husband. I complained to Sephora via the website and received no action or sympathy. I will always order online and hope their stores close.

Oh please I am a 37 year old white female with a good job and no weird tatoos or piercings and they do the exact same thing to me, which is why I don't shop there anymore. It isn't a race issue it is a stupidity issue. If people would just stop shopping their and putting up with their crap it would go out of business. This isn't a race thing, stop making it one and pay attention to the other customers in the store - they are getting the same treatment no matter what they look like.

I agree with you 100%!! I am not African American, but I do have some piercings and they treat me like I am a freak. I confronted one lady when she kept looking at me and whispering on her radio. I had another experience tonight, where I had an exchange I received as a gift and the lady said no problem. Then this little fairy whispered to her that I couldn't do an exchange. How dare he!! If you read the back of their reciept it CLEARLY states you can do an exchange WITH OUT A RECIEPT! Get your sh*t racists employees out of there or U WILL LOOSE all of your customers SEPHORA!
