RIP OFF - GAS

8/3/08 at 10:45 am I went to get gas to the CHEVRON station located on Pine Island Road and Orange drive because they had a sign advertizing gas for $3.87 a gallon. I used Pump #1 and pressed start for the $3.87 a gallon regular gas, that price also showed up as I was pumping my gas. After getting 10 gallons, I stopped because I saw my cost was $41.88. The recepit printed out saying is was $4.179 a gallon. THIS is BAIT & SWITCH at best, but an outright rip off nonetheless. I questioned the guy inside who said that someone must have taken the plastic bag off the pump because its not working right.
THE SCAME is that a...there were no indications that the pump was ineffective. b...The $3.87 a gallon price was displayed on the pump, as the only price seen while I was pumping.
THIS OUTRIGHT FRAUD MUST BE REPORTED AND STOPPED.
Wonder how many others are paying $4.179 a gallon for what they thought was $3.87.
