Protection Plan Scam - CCA Protection Plan for Apple IPod

I bought an Apple IPod 4gb for my daughter in 2006 and the best Circuit City Advantage Protection Plan that was available. In early October 2008 the IPod needed repair and I sent it back to CC per their instructions. I still have not received a replacement even though they show it as being shipped. The shipping number I was given was never trackable and I only received an error when trying to track the package. I have spent a lot of time on the phone with the CCA Protection plan support desk. It's been escalated and finally my latest call I learned through a supervisor that there were a lot of other people experiencing the same problem. It seems that the 3rd part supplier of the replacement IPod's is not shipping them out as promised. I was told that I'd have to wait. The problem with the 3rd party supplier has been escalated to the highest level. I may receive a gift card but they would not issue it yet and would not tell me when they would or when to expect my IPod. I'm totally disappointed with the service and have concerns about other electronics I've bought from CC, two flatscreens and a laptop. With Circuit City trading at $0.23 a share and reorganizing under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy code, their investor website states: (http://investor.circuitcity.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=346614)

Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans(R) are product warranty and service plans sold by the company on behalf of unrelated third parties who are the primary obligors. As a result, these warranty and service plans are not subject to change as a result of the company's Chapter 11 filing."

What does this mean??? When do I receive what I paid for?? Better yet, what is my recourse and are there others experiencing the same issues?

CCA is a scam. We purchased a computer from Circuit City in mis-October 08 and a three year plan. They are liars who bait & switch pricing and "as good as if not better" ment an antiquated computer from HP, less memory, old processor - in other words "NOT COMPATIBLE" Try to get a straight HONEST answer and have them follow through is about impossible.. This group stinks and should be avoided. A tremendous waste of money!!!
