Priceline customer service Rental Car Rip Off - Car Rental

We went on vacation with our three children in April of 2009, arrived at the airport after midnight. We had to take a shuttle to get to the Alamo Rental place to pick up the car that we had prepaid. Upon arrival, we waited in line and then the Alamo people refused to give us the minivan that we had prepaid on Priceline.
I had put my husband down as the pimary driver and had charged it on my credit card. They said that because the names didn't match, they could not rent to us. So I told them to make me the primary driver and go from there. They just laughed at us,told us Priceliine was the problem, then put me phone with their customer service. That was a joke at they wanted to charge us an extra $800 plus the $200 we had already paid for a 5 day rental. Plus they said they did not have a minivan unless we had a reservation. So apparently, they never had a minivan in the first place. We called Priceline to get some help and they were of no help. We asked to talk to a supervisor and were told that the department that handled that was closed. I asked the Priceline rep. what he could do to help us. he could do nothing and left us stranded at the Alamo rental counter in the middle of the night with 3 kids. By then my children were exhausted. Priceliine and Alamo would do nothing to help us at all except overcharge us.
We ended up getting a taxi to take us to our hotel. We were told that it would take 7-10 days to credit our charge card. I will never use Priceline or Alamo again. I guess these companies do not know what customer service is. Shame on you William Shatner for being their spokesperson! Priceline does not care what happens to people in the middle of the night when there is a problem with a booking. I am convinced of this.
