Poor service by Gate Agent
When flying from Baltimore to San Diego I encountered several delays due to thunderstorms in the TX area, where I had a connection. My ticket was booked through American Airlines, whose customer service line for same-day rebooking was relatively helpful. Eventually they put me on a 3-stopover route so that I could get to San Diego. When I arrived in OK City to connect via a United flight, the gate agent, Roger McLaren, refused to check me in, saying that I was an American Airlines passenger and he was saving the seats for his own airline. This was after two women in front of me had decided not to take the flight so I knew seats were available. When I called AA back, they ascertained that I had a confirmed seat on the flight. Again, the gate agent refused to even check the computer to see if I was on the flight.
I think Mr. McLaren, and possibly the airline as well, is out of touch with the American consumer. I am not an exclusive American Airlines passenger - I usually buy tickets based on a combination of lowest fare and most convenient schedule.

Now I will avoid flying United, since they seem to have no regard for customer service.
