Poor customer service - Navigon 2100

I purchased a Navigon GPS last year, and it worked great, until my car seat track caught the car charger for the unit and sliced it in half.

I tried looking online for a replacement with no luck. Anything not made by the company would charge the unit, but the unit would not work while it was charging, making the whole point of having the GPS moot. (Let's face it, no one needs a GPS to find their local sites, they need it for long trips, which means the unit must have power).
So I emailed the customer support eddress listed on the instructions pamphlet, only to get the response that
"Accessories, map material and content are not available in North America through NAVIGON."
What? I didn't want an accessory, I wanted a replacement part. And the company that manufactured it couldn't sell me one!
Talk about incompetent.

Then the went on to tell me that the company was "reallocating resources" from its GPS line. Sounds like a faltering company to me. They went on to say that they were focusing on software instead.

I'm sorry, but I didn't ask about that. I'm interesting in getting the replacement part from them that nobody sells.
Talking about stiffing a customer.

I recommend against buying anything Navigon related since they aren't interested in the consumer's experience in using their product in being a pleasant one.

I agree i bought a 5100 less than a year ago and now im mad because its messed up and i cannot get anyone to help me we need to sue this company so we can get our money back
