Poor customer relations - Digitial Camera

Purchased a digital camera with extended warranty. Camera could not be fixed so replacement was given. Not happy with replacement and request a cash refund but Sears will only give a store credit good for only 30 days. Why should I be forced into buying something I don't want of lesser quality. I have been bounced from one person to another trying to get this resolved. One person says a cash refund is possible another says no.
