Poor customer management - Front brake service

Front brake service took 6.5 hrs to complete. No complications and parts in stock.
Had an appointment at 2 PM, which I find now is pretty much meaningless, because of the volume of cars that were there ahead of me. I was the last customer to leave the shop at around 8:20 pm. In their defense one of the service people gave me a ride home around 2:44 pm and picked me up to return to the shop around 6:30 pm only to have to wait 2 hours more for completion of the job
