Shapell Homes is nothing more than an average builder with
subpar customer service. The folks at the customer service / warranty
department don't understand construction and don't have quality control.

Very nice to hear from you. Shapell used to be good from what I heard. But not anymore. The problem lies in technical incompetance and lack of quality control. Once they don't have those, all bets are off.
This is not news among my neighbors.
