Please beware, the TIVO rebate can be such a rip off. I activated my TIVO as soon as I got it and mailed in my rebate. When I called about my rebate I was told I never activated the TIVO. When I asked why my TIVO was working I was told it was because I was still in my trial period. When I gave them the confirmation number I received upon activation they discovered there internet website was temporarily down so my account was never activated. Then I was transferred to another person who told me I would receive the rebate. I called two more time attempting to get my rebate. I spent a ton of time on hold just to get a real person, and never got my rebate. Amazingly, though the internet site was down and the couldn't process my rebate, the certainly could process my one year contract.
