I recently switched over to Verizon Wireless . I was looking for a more dependable service. Today I received a letter from Peta that stated that Verizon is using Pit bulls to promote their new LG Dare. Verizon is using the dogs in such a way where it causes Animal Rights groups like Peta to take notice. Peta in the form letter stated that they asked Verizon to remove the ad. It was also stated that Verizon chose not to comply and to ignore Peta. I know some people might view Peta like a group of fanatics, but in the Animal Rights world; Peta has changed so many things for the better when it comes to Animal Rights. So being an activist myself, I politely filled out the report and sent it to Verizon. Within second the email came back as being blocked from delivery. The email was suppose to be sent to a person at brenda.raney AT verizon.com. Now I am a happy customers so far, but I am an Animal Rights activist first. Verizon is owned by both Verizon Communications and Vodafone. Two of the largest companies on Earth. So I find it upsetting that such a giant, powerful company, is more then willing to push ahead with a commercial that upsets Animal Rights activist. Seeing as phones are never sold for more then several months to begin with. So why even push anyone to promote a phone that will be forgotten about in a matter of months. If Verizon is suppose to be a company based on offering the Best-Of-The-Best services; a "Company Attitude" is part of that service. I would hate to have switched over to a company that cares little about Animal Rights, which would then forces me to leave for a new company that will care. As an Animal Rights activist, we see the world differently. Many others don't see any need for a fuss, but there is something deep inside that won't let us turn off our compassion for ALL life forms. So why not show some compassion to those of us that care so much about other life forms? So if a commercial is upsetting to people like myself, then why not pull it and make a new one? Verizon Wireless is the most powerful wireless carrier in the USA. With Verizon Wireless, Verizon Communications and Vodafone; your company combined is worth in the 400 BILLION range! Enough to buy an entire country! So 1 TV commercial will not cause your company any kind of harm. If you made a commercial that upset Black people; you would remove it. If your company upset people with disabilities; then you would pull the ad. Well, this new commercial is upsetting Peta and it's supports like myself. So please pull it from the airwaves. The Myth around Pit bulls is negative and that causes them a lot of suffering. So Verizon doesn't need to waste any money on commercials that enforce this negative, incorrect stereotype. There is millions of negative stereotypes, and it shouldn't be the job of a company to enforce those. Even if those stereotypes are about animals.

Please just give this some thought. You may never understand why a person like myself supports a company like Peta. All you need to understand is that I and millions of others do. Please work with Peta on creating TV ad's that don't degrade the work Peta and other Animal Rights groups have spent their lifetimes doing. It's not fair that us donors have spent millions trying to further Animal rights, and a company like Verizon, is seemingly willing to ignore all that hard work out of pure spite.

And I'm sorry for any misspellings. I just get so caught up and always seem to forget about the errors.
