I used PODS to move from Georgia to Hampton Roads I packed tight and tied things off however the contents had shifted and were thrown all over my POD upon entering months later. I went back one time to get things out and things were everywhere inside my container. My stemware broken in box, pictures missing corners, night stand had something which had grinded into the side. Furniture was scratched and so many items were damaged or scratched. I have moved so many times and never had this much damage. Convenient to move but very expensive. Dont take the insurance... I tried a claim but mine was denied. The insurance is for water damage, explosions and the fat chance an airplane might run into the side of your POD. You know what I mean. Its kind of like the act of nature insurance. They ask you if you want the insurance but it dont even think it covers the contents of your items.... you claim will be denied based on contents shifting or moving during transport. If your POD has not obvious dents or damages your are not covered. I watched the guy pick this think up in Hampton and it shifted on its side as I was driving away shaking my head. That kind of shifting is not covered. Sorry!
