Not True Diversity - Public service media

We shop at the Trinidad, Colorado store and were highly offended at the large posters placed at the front door touting Gay Pride and Harvey Milk. This is a grocery store and not a gay forum. I was told it was part of the store's diversity theme. Someone needs to look up diversity. We don't need this kind of media when grocery shopping and especially explaining it to the grandchildren who can read. Safeway does not need our business.

I have decided to call my local Vons store to see if they are supporting Harvey Milk the gay activist. I agree that a grocery store should not be a place to present a gay platform to support the homosexual agenda. I am a christian mom who does not want to support that cause indirectly. Other christian parents may be interested in checking out SaveCalifornia.com for more information on Harvey Milk and Gay Day every May 22nd through trying to pass Bill 572. If you oppose you can call Gov. Schwarzenegger at 916-445-2841.

I have to say your complaint it sooo dumb!! You were seriously offended by 'gay pride month' signs? Are you offended if they have 'muslim-heritage' or 'black history' month signs? whats the difference? I think you are the one who doesnt understand diversity. Every month safeway has a new sign celebrating someone. Why would anyone find that wrong? Closeminded people like you make me so mad! You cant explain to your grandchildren that some compaines are accepting of all people and like to show that every lifestyle/culture should be celebrated? so dumb.
