My son, and husband both purchased a moped scooter on-line. Well, needless to say both mopeds were in need of repairs. We took the bikes to this one place where we originally purchased another moped a couple of years ago, and they recommended a place called Mike's Bikes . We took my son's bike there first and the place looked pretty reputible, and the people seemed to know what they were doing so we left the bike with them.

The problem with my son's bike, was that it was leaking oil, and the gas tank on it was loose. About a week later we received a call from the man who worked on the bike, and he said that most of the screws that were holding the bike and its parts together were loose. So, we thought well maybe it was a factory defect. Which it was but once you purchase a bike they don't give refunds and won't take the bike back. Yesterday we went and picked up the bike, and my son is still experiencing oil leaks and oil spitting out. Obiviously the problem was not solved.

Now to the problem with my husband's bike. Everytime he rode his bike, within so many miles the bike would cut off. For some reason the battery would not hold a charge, because this happened every time we jumped the bike with jumper cables,even after the battery was charged on a battery charger. So, we took the bike to Mike's and told the man what the problem was. He informed us that the wires that hold the battery in the bike were too short. He fixed that problem, however that was not the case because the problem of the bike cutting off was still happening. Again, we bought the bike back to them. He then assured us that the battery was charging after he charged it up on his charger. The problem was still happening. My husband and I decided that the only thing to do was to purchase another battery, and we did. At first everything was looking good until my husband took it for another test drive. It cut off again. So obviously it is not the battery that is causing the problem. Why is it that these people don't check something like the alternator or something? That could be the problem, but they didn't bother to check that out.

After going through all this, we plan to ask the company to refund us. If they don't, then we will take other measures to get our money back.
