My name is Guy Matthews Sr. and I have a serious concern with CountryWide Mortgage . I applied for and received a refinanced loan with CountryWide however I was steered into mortgage insurance because I was not aware that should not have been paying mortgage insurance. My LTV rate was 73% at the time of my loan and I was never late on a mortage payment. I had as you can see lots of equity and should not have to have this insurance. I was very upset to find out that CountryWide would use this kind of preditory lending. I called to inquire why this was done to me and they never fully explained except to say that all FHA loans have mortgage insurance. I asked them why was I steered towards this loan. CountryWide also treated me as if I was ignorant and I quess I was to a certain extent, however I was under the impression that a mortgage company had a fiduciary duty to treat their customer fairly and I bargained with them in good faith thinking they would give me the best deal.

I had the same experience with Countrywide. Not only they are not cooperating but not even have a good customer services. Luckily, after 30 minutes you get to someone they keep transferring you back and forth until you get tired and hang up the phone.

The only way to make them listen to us is take Countrywide to the court of law. I don't know if filing class action suit is possible for this kind of case. I think we should check with lawyers. Let us check online, if there is any legal ground we can use to bring this back down to its knees. If any of you have any idea what we can do, please post it and we will keep communicating among ourselves and bring others who have similar issues on board as well.
