Miserable Customer Service, Clueless Employees - High Speed Internet Service

What a nightmare! It is now the 5th of September and I have a letter from them stating i was to have serivce since August 25th.

I spoke with EVERY department only to be told there were 2 mistakes on my account which I would have to call another department on another day to resolve.

This went on for 4 days, literally 8.5 hours of phone time, most of it on hold. Finally, i demanded a supervisor, who hung up on me and when i called again pretended not to be there. A second supervisor was able to help me turn on the service that same night, even though 4 previous ATT employess at the same number had told me that would be impossible. He then had no explanation for the trouble and of course, i would have to call back another day and speak to someone else to get that issue addressed.

This is not over. By far the WORST experience i have ever had. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. When i mentioned this problem to my workplace, they laughed and said "good luck" as AT&T is notorious for abysmal assitance.

Pitiful and painful.

For the ones that are at AT&T who are mannerable, professional, morally upright or concerned I have to say I appreciate you and had to realize I can not group you with those who happen to have minimal skills in the area of retention, company rates or customer skills.

I certainly have to agree. I was offered and given a free modem and guess what? The telephone line needed to be repaired @ the time I complained and guess what? The modem that I thought was free, the charges were converted to AT&T pesos which were applied to the $99 telephone service line repair. I was offered this modem because I decided to cancel the service before they even sent a technicial out because they sent the bill a month early with overcharges for service that I did not even have or could access. As of now this is my fifth time requesting a service technician with the last customer rep. who asked for my telephone number in case "the telephone is disconnected".Guess what? It disconnected and I never received a call back from her. That is not customer service. It just a fast food franchise with a more professional setting but the same employees. Now you know where most of your employees go that are fired from one fast food chain or one that is going potentially bankrupt? You got it AT&T! That explains the customer service.
