I stayed at my sister in law's place recently and she put me on one of these Memory Foam mattress es. At first I thought it was GREAT, I was exhausted after a long drive and my back hurt. It wasn't a bad sleep per se but I have feather beds at home so this was a little hard for me after a few hours. It was just kind of a STRANGE feeling. She's a good twenty years older than I am though and she says it helps her arthritic body and ease back pain so perhaps it's a generational preference. I can see that if you needed a firm support mattress this would be MUCH better than those awful hard hospital mattresses they sell for back patients. Not bad.
