Salesman Lied! - One week ago my wife & I visited Mahwah Ford to look at a 2008 Ford Focus that we were considering buying for our son. We were given a price by this salesman and advised him that we also wanted to check a price with the Ford dealorship in Paramus, NJ. Upon hearing that, proceeded to speak critically and quite rudely about the dealorship in Paramus, calling then a "highway shop" and the we "better be careful" when dealing with them as the price they quote isn't the price that you end up paying. Anyway, one week goes by and we receive a call today (5/14/09) where he gives my wife a price for the car. His quote and expression was "14,400 and out the door". Well, when my wife and son went to leave a $500 deposit on the car the were greeted by "PJ" with the expression "I have good news and bad news". The bad news was that the price had gone up $300-$400 dollars in a matter of 2 hrs (since the phone call). This salesman "PJ" then tried to tell my wife that she must have misunderstood what he said because he needed management approval. My wife and then was told that the manager and the managers boss said no to this deal. After my wife and son drove and were standing at the Dealorship prepared to leave a deposit for the car. Our appeal to the manager on duty, Erdoan Dalipovski was met with rudeness, sarcasm and a total lack of respect for us. This manager even went so far as to say the his salesman "PJ" never quoted that original price (14,400) to my wife when he called her today. Unfortunately for me, I lost my cool as I just couldn't believe the total lack of respect and disregard for the customer shown by these representatives of Ford Motor Company . Frustrated beyond belief I raised my voice in frustration while speaking to this insult of a sales manager and unfortunately, as my wife tells me "That becomes the issue". Regardless, I want you at Ford Motor Company to be aware of this dealership and the tactics (Bait & Switch)that are used there. I wish that I could have contained my frustration and simply walked away without raising my voice but this experience was just to insulting to believe. Please take a look at this place and this salesman in particular and see if you can instill some honesty and integrity in them. Thanks!
