Dear Mr Niblock,
I am writing this in response to my recent termination at Lowes 1735. I have spent the last 5.5 years at this store and have given 150% of my life for this company. I was recently terminated for a policy violation that I was never even made aware of. I was terminated for failure to report harassment assessment even though this happened outside of Lowes store after hours. I feel I was wrongfully terminated for this. I spent an average of 60 or more hours every week in this store. I enjoyed and took much pride in my job. Lowes is a great company to work for but I feel you need to pay more attention to the fairness and consistency of the store managers and your HR personnel. You have store managers promising things then never carry through with them. You have unfairness to certain employees but yet nothing is ever done. You have HR personnel calling associates names and spreading rumors about associates. This was taken to store management but nothing was ever done. I know being an operations manager this needs reported but most people fear being fired because of retaliation. I guess it didnt matter I lost my job anyway. Lowes is supposed to take pride in hiring great people. In this store they take more pride in taking care of the D players not the A players. There have been more great people leave this store than what you will ever hire again. You have HR that wont let an associate in their office but yet her kids and boyfriends can go right in and sit down in the office. they also never work the required hours on the schedule. I dont think this is a proper way to take care of your employees. If you dont take care of and treat all employees fair and consistent you will never grow the company to where it is capable of being.
Is it fair you have 2 employees caught at the same time for a class A saftey violation on power equipment 1 was terminated and nothing was done to the other. There are many examples lihis that take place in this store. Im not writing this for myself I am writing in concern of the 125 or more employees that need to be treated fairly. I know this is not how Lowes expects their employees to be treated. I would appreciate you looking into this and I would appreciate my job back if at all possible. I have called Denise on this but have not gotten a response back yet.
