Lousy customer service & False Advertisement

I just walked out of the Torrington CT Cold Stone Creamery location for the final time. I will never, ever go back again!! They have this huge sign on the wall that states the specials for each night of the week. Example: "Fast Lane Friday" which would be $1.00 off any quart of ice creaam from the freezer. Okay, here is the kicker......just try to take advantage of these clearly advertised specials....it just won't happen. The staff will tell you they "don't know the code" or they will dig through drawers and try to look for "codes" to complete your transaction, and in the end you will end up paying full price because they claim they don't know anything about the special. HELLO!!! It is a huge sign that takes up half the wall, and it is CLEARLY MARKED! But still, they will have no clue. The entire time they will make it obvious to you that YOU are inconveniencing THEM, while they make you stand there waiting for them to learn how to subtract one dollar from your order. You can complain to the manager and/or the owner, they will just blame the corporation for not giving them the proper "codes". You will hear a litany of excuses as to why they won't be able to give you the advertised price. You can ask them to take the sign down if it is not indeed true....they will tell you that "corporate makes them keep it up". One thing I can't stand is managers/owners who would rather pass the buck, then help the customer. I say this is clearly a case of false advertisement. Has this happened to anyone else at any of the other Cold Stone Creamery locations??? What happened to "the customer is always right" ?? This has happened to me every Friday for the last six weeks and I have had enough! I'll never go back to a Cold Stone again! They lie to the customers, and the customer service is LOUSY at the Torrington CT location.

Does it really bother you that much for $1? Enough so that you have to get online and write a complaint? If you have such an issue with $1 maybe you should find somewhere else to purchase your ice cream, like a Food Lion?
