Listen Up you get what you pay for

We purchased the Listen Up listening enhancement device for an older brother recently. He's having trouble hearing more and more with age but refuses to invest in a pricey hearing aid. We hoped this would be the answer to our prayers.
However, the listen up device might be OK if you're ALONE in the room watching TV but NOT when there are others present. Of course for $16 the device doesn't 'know' what it is you want to focus on so enhances ALL sound in the room.For this reason it is a disaster at a busy dinner table or restraunt as well and doesn't help the user interact more with others as we had hoped. I think it makes more sense to just get a hearing aid BOB! (Yes, this one is directed at Y.O.U. I know you read this site!) :)
