Lies to Sell a Car - car purchase

At first I Thought I was having my first pleasant car buying experience, but over the next 2 weeks everything went very bad. My car had crunched and I am a very busy professional, who's car is necessary for 70% of her job. I went in to Honda one Saturday just starting my search for a new vehicle. I was in a rental car that my insurance provided for me until I assumed ownership of new transportation.I brought a friend with me for support and had expressed several times the importance of having transportation and the logistics of returning the rental. That was clearly a hot button for me. the Assistant Sales Manager assured me that I would have transportation until I took ownership of my new car, not to worry. If I purchased a car from them that night I would have absolutely no worries. I brought it up several times to be sure and he cut me off and told me not even to bring it up again. "It was a done deal". We had a detailed conversation with the finance department concerning the length of time my particular financing would take. I have good credit now and was accepted for financing but because of a past bankruptcy (like 60% of Americans) the paperwork might take up to 2 weeks to process. They said that they were used to this and worked with bankruptcy courts every day and knew the length of time involved. I went forward with the purchase that night because I was assured over and over again that I would not be without a vehicle until I took ownership of my new car. My new vehicle had to be ordered because they did not have any inventory. That gave me time to begin processing my other paperwork. 10 days later my car (finally) came in and that is when the harassing phone calls came, to return the loaner. Not something I needed with my very stressful, demanding job! I received one call threatening to "sell the car out from under me". Constant calls about when my paperwork would be in, when they were the ones who told me it took a while and to be patient!! I thought we were all on the same page. Finally I get a call Saturday morning saying that "management" wants the car back Monday afternoon.I had little time to make other arrangements and it was the weekend, and I work weekends. If they had been honest and told me that I could only have the loaner until my new car came in then I had to return it and find alternate transportation if my paperwork took longer, I would never have made a purchasing decision that day. I would have waited because once I returned the rental that my insurance was providing me, I had to pay to get another one. I also wanted to avoid being stranded without a car!!
