They totally suck!!! I will never shop there again. All they do if you bring in a water sample is try to sell you a bunch of crap you don't need!!! PHOS FREE??? I really do know more about pools than they do!!! How can they test your water and get an accurate reading with the same test kit I use at home???? Plus there is no computer print out like the new pool store I go to!!! If your just guessing then I'm guess I'll shop somewhere else!!!!

I am also a manager for Leslies and you have know idea how much training we go through to help everyone. He is right you do need to do some research on phosphates before you go bashing us. we are cpo certified are you? or the other store your talking about?

Yeah this is the customer that feel he knows more than the store associate thats trying to help him. Sir if you trust a computer print out result of your water sample then good luck cause your a fool. I'm a Leslie's ASM and every customer has come in to Leslie's checking if their water sample results were accurate in the computer test so I tested the water with our Taylor Test Kit drops we use at Leslie's. Everything was okay with this customers pool who was told by the highly accurate computer water test store that he need 45lbs of sodium bicarb to raise and balance his Alklanity and PH. The customer had a 12K pool and to put 45lbs of bicarb would cloud the hell out of his pool so we'll see you back soon at Leslie's complaining about that new pool store your shopping at.

I nearly bursted out in laughter over this post... I've been a pool technician for over 5 years and have extensively studied and been active in every aspect of the pool industry here in Arizona. Currently I've been working for Leslie's about 2 months and I manage one of their stores... I can ensure anyone that the majority of Leslie's Managers are competent in their pool chemistry. I myself was impressed by the training they give to every employee. Leslie's is about selling products however done the right way. I have more satisfied customers in my area than ever before. In fact numerous "pool guys" have been fired for their attitudes similar to the one in your post. Leslie's actively pursues CPO certification for all it's store managers. To read about some no clue idiot challenge someone who actually has done the research and training for water chemistry makes me laugh.

Digital testers also require constant calibration to maintain accuracy. Most average home owners do not own a liquid test kit as extensive as the kits that Leslie's uses. Furthermore, phosphates are commonly found in FERTILIZERS because they are a key nutrient for plant life.

Well. if you don't know what phosphates do, then you defiantly have NO CLUE about pools. Why don't you ask zodiac about their new spring cartridge. Total BS?

I would like to comment on this one as I am a manager for Leslie's and we go through extensive training with the manufacturer of the test reagents we use. So before you go bashing us and think we are guessing we are not. I would suggest you do some research on phosfree and phosphates and learn it is much needed.
Thank you for your reply and uneducation.
