Language learning CD - Language CD

I purchased a language CD from this company, what I received was a CD with some PDF files and some sound files and you have to open up the pdf files and try to match what is being said on the sound files to the pdf's. They are of extremely poor quality. They... More...

I bought Vietnamese course from Langocity and yes I agree the text and the course is pretty old but I felt satisfied as the language, pronunciation etc hasn't changed for generations. I am in Australia and also got a copy of the CD sent to me plus the free translator file which I find is extremely helpful when trying to write in Vietnamese. I am satisfied overall and the price is pretty good.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! I purchased a "learn to speak Thai" with "native speakers" that was an outdated (1970's) peice of crap that was totally in-sufficient for my needs. The pages were crappy scans of an old type-writer written course that were unreadable in parts. The "course" had no flow. The "translation software" for the "learn to speak Thai" course translates written words into written Thai (so I cannot read it, and it doesn't help me learn to speak it). THIS LANGOCITY SOFTWARE IS A RIP OFF!!!! DO NOT BUY THEIR SOFTWARE!!!!

I bought a bulgarian course and was supprised that it was from the 60s the web sight made it sound good so it was completely missleading. i'm really pissed about it no way i will learn anything from the outdated material.

I've bought a Portuguese course at Langocity and couldn't be happier. They advertise that the course is a PDF file and MP3 audio and that the courses are produced by the Foreign Service, which is the case when you read the cover. For the price, it's way better than some of the other several hundred dollar courses. For $29, I got 500 pages of text, which kept me busy all winter. The content of the course is sophisticated and comprehensive. I think I got my money's worth.
