I bought the Magic Jack , and was all excited on saving money. But once I installed it, from the start, all the callers could hear on the other line was a beeping sound. It's VERY aggravating! So I could ONLY chat online with a live agent. There was no number for... More...

Yes, it's true. It's Magic Crap for sure. It cuts in and out constantly and sounds like a can with a string attached to it. Sad thing is, maybe the product works but that high speed internet isn't perfect enough to hookup a telephone conservation through yet. Either way, it doesn't matter because they should have known through testing what this crappy service would sound like.

did you disconnect the original land line outside your home or business? One I did this all the problems disappeared.

magic jack..nuttin magic about it other than your money goes like magic..I bought it..they said get rid of your land line,,good thing i didn't. First the thing sounds like a walkie talkie..next the router number for my phone is out of georgia,,I live in Alabama..my magic number has a 404 area code,,that means if i get a call from across the street ,the caller hace to pay long distance charge..not very magic huh. I called and talked to sadji he said(i think) that it was a problem they were working on...yeah right..working on a good lie to tell..my advice,,don't do it if you live in Alabama....

agree entirely. have not had 1 pleasant experience with this product. magic jack does not deserve to succeed. poor product and poorer product support. the sales website pops up immediately, it seems it takes minutes for the customer service website to pop up.no real help follows.
