In April of 2007 I made a reservation and purchased an airline ticket on Northwest Airlines to fly in September from Spokane,Washington to Green Bay, Wisconsin and return.

On May 25th my husband had a stroke and I had to stay home to take care of him. In Early July I called North West Airlines to cancel my ticket and requested a return of the $383..oo; no problem according to the agent I spoke with. Instead I received credit for $383. toward a furture flight within one year. If I didn't take a trip within one year I would lose the $383. All subsiquent phone calls refused to honor my request of a return of my $383.00 They had approximately 70 days to resell that seat after I had to cancel the flight and I am reasonably sure they could have or did.
I am A 73 year old senior living on a limited income and losing $383 certainly places a hardship on me. Unless it would be an emergency I have no plans to fly anywhere in the next year, especially not on NORTHWEST AIRLINES. I Have heard on the news about NWA having a problems financially, Passengers having to sit many hours on a plane because it couldn't take off and how they have had problems with Pilots flying drunk etc. Now with this, do you wonder why they have so many problems. IF YOU CAN AVOID IT MY REOMMENDATION IS DON'T FLY NORTHWEST AIRLINES. Carol Richardson 40903 Sunny View Loop Polson, MT 59860
