I went to Dr.Shaw for a rash only on the right side of my upper body, she said after MANY expensive tests that I had an allergy to soap.

I believed her and went on a regimin of hypoallergenic products for a couple months while the rash and pain became horribly worse. several trips to the emergency room at Huguley Hosp. in Burleson provided no help, all they did was give me steroid shots.

I was in Granbury TX visiting my daughter and could no longer stand the pain...the emergency dr there asked me what was wrong..I said pain on my right side..She looked at her assistant and said SHINGLES. By that time it had gone into Post herpetic neuropathy.
Too late to stop it. Now after 4 years of unbearable pain I am almost pain free, I have a good pain management Dr. and can finally go a full day normally. If this so called Dr. had diagnosed me in the first place I wouldn't have had severe pain for so long. I wish I had sued her then but now it's too late, she is still practicing and hopefully she has learned something. I would tell anyone that if you ihave a rash or pain on just one side of your body go and get early treatment Please! there is now a Shingles shot!Ger It especilly if your over 50.
