I ordered the 30-day free trial of Cigarrest . Right after I completed my credit card information I noticed the very fine print at the bottom of the page. The $99.85 that was to be charged every 30 days jumped out at me. I called the number they had listed to cancel the order. It is automated. I didn't trust this so I called the following day to make sure of the cancellation and to get a cancellation number. Nonetheless, the package arrived the next day. I immediately called the (800) 792-9079 number and requested instructions for returning the package. I was told, "Don't send it back, this is your 30-day free trial." I opened the package and noted, however that there were 90 of everything. It was after 4:30 PM PST. So I called my credit card company. Sure enough $99.85 plus the shipping and handling had already been deducted from my credit card. I read every line of the paperwork very carefully. Here's the catch, "If you do not wish to be bound by these terms (the initial $99.85 payment), you have 10 days to return the package, nothing opened, nothing used. Clearly, the policy is to get the recipient to open something so it cannot be returned or allow the 10 days to lapse, also so it cannot be returned. The person I spoke with intentionally mislead me so that I would not be able to recoup my payment. Obviously they have been trained to do just that. I was on the verge of opening everything. I don't know why I noticed the discrepancy between the so-called 30-day free trial and the 90 I actually received. I will return the package tomorrow, but it will be certified or registered because I believe they would deny receipt of it if I had no way of tracking it.
