I have a photocopy a an amount due (very poor business, I thought it was a scam) from AT&T. When I decided to follow up on it, thinking it was a scam I should report, I found that amount really was charged to my account. The first statement (and I use that term very losely) had no phone numbers on it, except to make payment for this bill I feel is not mine. I have an AT&T cell phone, why would I want AT&T long distance. I have tried their 800 numbers and all I can get is a phone tree that cannot help me as I have no information on this statement sent to me; just my name address and an amount So i went to there web and found a place to e-mail them. I have e-mailed several times; and still no response. Yesterday, I received a second statement (same poor photocopy with a different form letter addressed to an account number), except this time it had a different phone number. I called that customer service representive number, as it is referred to on the paper and I did reach a human being. Yeah! He informed me I owed over $46.00. I asked from what. I am not getting monthly statements, in fact the only thing I have from AT&T are the two phoney statements concerning $29.75. He advised that was being turned over for collection and I need to pay it right away. I told him I am not receiving statements from AT&T and I want to discuss this bill with someone. He said he would pass me on to customer service. The next thing I hear on the phone is a recording advising me the wait would be at least 30 minutes. I had to go to work. This is ridiculous that I cannot reach a human being to discuss a billing and then to find out that the billing in increasing monthly, but I am not receiving any statements. This experience is more frustrating then I can put into words; and it is not over yet.
