I bought a beautiful dining room set for over $5000.00
It included 8 chairs that are upholstered on the back and seat. The chair back material is pulling away from the frame in one chair and will in 3 other chairs. The chair back does not have any structure and is held only by material glued to the chair. An expert showed me that there is not even cardboard in the back of the chair - a real defect. I want my money back to by the same chair with wood slats in the back from Thomasville.

There is no refund policy - only a store credit. I've gone back to my local store twice and there is no chair that even remotely matches this blond maple set. Now I don't even want to go back to a store that provides defective furniture and doesn't care about the customer. I suggested that they buy my chairs from Thomasville, they said only their store credit is available to me. Their customer service department is a JOKE. It isn't about the customer. PLEASE NOTE. They do not EVER refund your money - ever! DO NOT BUY FROM WICKES they do not stand behind their furniture.

They will not escalate to a supervisor - because it is the company's policy to never provide a refund "it says so on the BACK of your receipt" they will tell you over and over.

I feel ripped off. I never want to buy from WICKES and you shouldn't either.
