I Hate Amex! - Am Ex Credit Card

While on a trip to Arizona to check on some property, I had to stop and refuel a total of 2 times going there. On my way back home, I stopped to get gas and I could not because American Express restricted my card use! I had to use another credit card instead. When I returned home and called AMEX, they informed me that my credit limit had been reduced to $2000.00 From $5000.00! I have never been late in payments and to this day, I don't understand why they do this to a good customer! I paid the card off and told them to kiss my butt! I will never, ever, or will any of family or children to come will ever have anything to do with them.

American Express accepted fake paperwork and false statements from a merchant I have never done business with and stuck me with $20,000 in charges. Unbelievable. The "merchant" told American Express they'd give me a "credit!" Unbelievable. Why would I want a fake "credit" with a "merchant" who I have never done business with? Not even in or near my city, by the way. Again, unbelievable. I can't believe people can get away with stuff like this. Oh, and AmEx sued me for it, even after my attorney requested "time." Was traveling out of state to assist my daughter (mother of 3) who had just had surgery when amex lowered my credit limit to within $300 of my balance! I have a 780 credit score according to their own "credit secure" credit checker; have used amex since '96-NEVER a late payment; always paid MORE than double the minimum payment due and they chose to strand me over 1200 miles from home without any notice other than a recorded message requesting I call them regarding "some changes they've made to my account". Unfortunately, I have 0ver 140K in skymiles I'll loose if I just cancel the card - I'm retired and am not sure if I'll need credit anymore, or I would just let them whistle for the balance I owe. (I own my own home and 4 additional rental properties) I CAN assure you I'll NEVER use amex again.

Amex is run by a a pack of GAY CEO gangsters who have been bailed out by the american taxpayers for gross mismanagement of this company. Think how the stockholders have also been screwed by this band of criminals. Warren Buffet, dump your stock if you have any ethics as AMEX has none
