Don't use hotwire.com or National Car Rental. I used them from the internet and was very disappointed with both company's services. In August I rented a car from Travelocity and had no problems. In April I decided to give hotwire a try because they had the lowest prices. I reserved the car but when I went to pick up the car I was denied because I was using a Visa Debit and didn't have flight arrangements. Now mind you I read the agreement before clicking to finalize my reservation so I was well aware of the stipulations but I was renting a car (with air conditioner) so I could go to a funeral three hours away in Pennsylvania. Nothing was mention online about having a flight arrangements in order to rent a car from National Car Rental! Then when I got there I was given such a hassel by the guys behind the counter for not having a major credit card. I don't want a credit card that is why I have a Visa debit! My money should be good whether it's credit or debit. At least with a debit Visa they would get their money right away like Hotwire did and then Hotwire wanted me to set up an account and they would deposit the money in this account (not refund me my money) for future use. If I got crappy service from Hotmail do you think I want to use them again because I have a credit? So basically I have been ROBBED!!!
