Hotel Review Pier One Resort

Key West, Florida

The hotel itself is lovely. We stayed two nights in the Carribean Spa building. The room was fantastic- lovely balcony, great bathroom, and the best hotel shower I've ever seen. The room service breakfast we ordered was delicious and HUGE- I couldn't eat it all! This hotel is not for people who are planning to sleep a lot, however- it is right at the end of Duval Street which is very noisy. The first morning we had a large RV idling outside our window for about an hour. The second morning it was motorcycles and weed whackers. At night you could hear the band from the bar across the street. We didn't sleep much! The location is ideal if you want everything within walking distance and you don't mind the noise. The pool was disappointing- very boring. The private beach is miniscule. The hotel restaurant, One Duval, was over-priced for the quality of the food. Much better to walk to The Commodore- the food there was fantastic! All in all, we had fun but we probably won't stay there again only because we need our sleep!!
