Now this I just don't understand.
I ordered a pair of shoes from an outside vendor on Amazon. On Amazon they listed the item as in stock and will ship in three to four business days. I was charged and send a note saying my order was being processed. a full WEEK... More...

Blame the Vendor, Amazon is not responsible for their actions. The Vendor is the one who supplies Amazon with stock information.
