Home depot sold me bad sod and told me to dig it up - SOD and customer service

I just purchased a new house and bought all of my stuff from Home Depot West Sacramento #1846 690 Riverpoint CT

including all my sod in my backyard. Its been months since my boyfriend and I added the sod to the new soil I added to my small back yard. I added sprinklers and watered the grass, added fertilizer, seed for the bald spots etc. My grass in the front not from home depot, looks great and I didnt have to add anything and it is the same type of grass took care of it the same way. The home depot grass has patches, yellow and dying no matter what we do to it. My boyfriend is a landscaper for a living and taking care of bad grass is costly and labor intensive to replace it. We went to some cashiers in the garden department and they told us to dig up the sod and roll it back. We did this the same day and removed about 1/3 of my bad grass by hand to return to home depot. We get there and they say that I can't get store credit or anything. We talk to the store manager JUDY and I pointed out the guys that told me they could return it thaqt were in garden. She said that we have to take it up with the vendors becasue they ONLY sell the sod and other customers have been complaining about the sod. Even though HOME DEPOT employees told us to dig it up and it wasn't fun. The vendor came out and only told us to spend more money on a special type of fertilizer that HOME DEPOT sells. They said that they can only wait another month and come out again to give us more ADVICE. Meanwhile 1/3 of my grass is missing and the rest is ugly HOME DEPOT grass and nobody is taking responsiblity. The vendor and HOME DEPOT said that they would help me as much as they can. So far they have insulted me, wasted my time, told me to spend more money and did nothing. During hard times you think they would treat a consumer that spends money there all the time and has a credit card with them with more respect and honor what their employees said because of the inconvience and false information they gave us.
