365 diamond Review

I used this service in July 2009 to buy my fiancé's diamond engagement ring. She had shown me a ring on the high street that she liked which was on sale - white gold band with a .36 carat G-color S1-clarity marquise cut diamond for £1200.

I called 365-diamond on recommendation from a friend and discovered that for £1100 I could get a pretty much identical ring with a platinum band and a .46 carat F-color VS1-clarity marquise cut diamond.

Now *that* is a bargain. The same ring in beaverbrooks would be around £3k.

Now, I have to admit that my purchase with 365 at first did not go smoothly, due to my bank rejecting the large internet payment. This was not 365's fault but liaising with them was a bit tricky because they are not very telephone service-oriented. They did respond to emails quickly however.

I re-sent the order and the ring arrived in 6 days, exactly as I hoped for, in a nice presentation box, with a GIA certificate.

Overall, very pleased to sidestep the high-street rip-off!!
