Handyman Express - not recommended

This is a review of Handyman Express. We used the company to get bids on some construction work (to prepare for granite installation) and plumbing work. What a nightmare. The bids are high. I had been desperate to get a plumber, so I paid their "bid fee" of $40 to get to plumber out to my house. Then I felt like I needed to go with their bid because I had already paid that money. When it was time to get the work done, I could not get them out to my house. They cancelled on me three times, showed up and said that my faucet was broken and I had to buy a new one (which I did), and then finally didn't show up the last day to install the faucet and hook up the sink. That was a Friday, which left us in a terrible place for the weekend (no running water in the kitchen). They never called to say they wouldn't come, and still have never called to explain what happened. We had to get someone else to fix the problem. I was very, extremely displeased and would never use that company again.
