Great Products Insolent Staff

I am an Executive Club member of Costco and have been shopping at the Brookfield, CT store for the past 10 years.

The reason I do so is for the quality of its products and for the way Costco stands behind them.

But everytime I visit the store I brace myself mentally. Costco's staff is rude, insolent and arrogant.

What an irony, Costco staff get better pay and benefits than Walmart but all my customer service horros have been with Costco, not a single one with Walmart.

Latest encounter, I was at the electronics section of Costco and managed to snag an employee to ask some questions about the difference between Plasma and LCD.

I let out a fairly innocent statement that I like plasma just because they seem brighter.

The employee looked at me and suggested that if what I want is brightness then I should look at the sun.

On my way out I could not find a single sheet at the exit for customer feedback.

Thank you for putting in words my experience at the Spanish Springs/Sparks, NV store! Greeters refer to me, a 60 year old woman, as "kid" and the optical staff simply could not be bothered to try to help me with locating appropriate eye glass frames. I too am an Executive member, but I doubt that flashing the card would have improved my service.
Best to write directly to the store manager.Good luck!
