Good prices, great service but where is the stock?

Is Amazon suffering the same fate as my local grocery market with little or no stock on so many things? I cannot believe how many things I've ordered recently that are on backorder at Amazon.com. I guess good things do come to those who wait but goodness, why list it if you don't got it??
