Gateway warranty - Gateway M685-E laptop

I have a Gateway laptop that has been worked on 3 times so far. It again needs repair and with one year left on the MPC warranty I discovered that MPC is no longer in business. I feel that since I purchased the warranty from Gateway that Gateway should be responsible for making sure what I paid for is either reimbursed or taken care of.
