Failed hard drive - Qosmio G15R laptop

My Qosmio G15 is less than four years old, & has been diagnosed with a failed hard drive. Toshiba refuses to acknowledge any responsibility, saying that it's out of warranty, but I believe a $3,000 computer should not fall apart after less than four years, & they should stand by their products, & offer me restitution.
